I grew up in a musical family (my grandparents met because they sat next to each other in band). I spent many years playing the piano and French horn before I discovered my voice at age 12. After earning my degree, I moved from Wisconsin to the Twin Cities to work at an educational theatre company, performing plays at schools. This turned my passion for performing into a passion for teaching. In addition to teaching at MNSoM, I teach theatre classes at Children’s Theatre Company, perform in a pop/rock vocal band, and I am pursuing a second degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences.
